The design for the Melissa Guerra store, which features hand-carved wood, Mexican tiles and antique fixtures, is inspired by a late 1800s-era Mexican tienda, or shop. Kitchenware – ranging from comales and corn-grinders to Cuisinart -- and food products such as top-quality Latin American chocolate and wine will be sold alongside handicrafts, textiles, leather goods and bath products. Artisan-made home accents will include Mexican folk art, hand-blown glassware and silver items from Taxco and elsewhere.
